Why Does My Tooth Pain Spread to My Jaw, Ear or Face?
A tooth problem does not always feel like pain in one specific tooth. Sometimes the discomfort seems to travel toward the jaw, ear, temple or face.

This can happen because nearby areas share interconnected nerve pathways. Pain from an inflamed tooth or surrounding tissues may therefore be felt somewhere other than where the problem begins.

The pattern matters. Is the pain constant or intermittent? Does it worsen with chewing? Is there sensitivity to hot or cold? Does it occur with swelling or difficulty opening the mouth?

A proper evaluation may involve examining the teeth and surrounding tissues, sensitivity testing, bite assessment and appropriate imaging. Sometimes the source may involve something other than the tooth itself.

Treating only the area where you feel pain may not solve the actual problem.

If tooth pain is spreading toward your jaw, ear or face in Wakad, Pimple Gurav, Rahatani or nearby areas, consider getting the cause evaluated.

Where you feel the pain is not always where the problem begins.
